We’re back!

In July 2017, at the Annual Meeting of Greater NYC for Change, our members agreed to “Pause” our efforts so as to encourage important work by and with the many Resistance groups that had sprung up in New York City. In July 2018, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to hit “Reset” so as to organize efforts not only to stop Trump, but also to lead toward the kind of government that can provide both a stronger present and a better, more equal future for us all.

Come canvass with us this fall!

Watch this page for information on the Vote Blue 2018 buses, a coalition effort to send hundreds, even thousands of volunteers to canvass this fall in key districts located within a two-hour-travel radius of New York City. We aim to take back the US Congress for the Democrats and elect a true-blue Democratic majority in the New York State Senate. The canvasses start on September 15th and run through Election Day. To register for the September 15th canvass, click here.

Primary Day is tomorrow!

“Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire… then they will just have to sit on their blisters.”

―Abraham Lincoln

Your vote matters more than ever.

Your vote matters more than ever.

Our sixteenth president was right–turnout matters. Your vote tomorrow, including in local district races, can have consequences for our city and state. The polls are open from 6 am to 9 pm. You can find your polling location here, along with sample ballots. More helpful information is available at NYCVotes.

Don’t forget Abe’s words. Get out and vote!

Convinced? Yes. Now Let’s Motivate Him.

“You’ve convinced me. Now go out and make me do it.”

New Day New York

Join us in a massive rally and march to celebrate our progressive election victory and remind New York politicians that they work for everyone–not just the rich. Together, let’s call for policies that end NYC’s “tale of two cities”: raise the minimum wage to a real living wage, tax high-income earners to fund education, increase and mandate affordable housing in residential development, and stop tax giveaways to big business. Let’s make NYC work for #allofus!

When: Thursday, December 5, starting at 4pm
Where: Foley Square (J or Z trains to Chambers Street or 4, 5, or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall)

For details, go to the New Day New York website.
